What's Good on Netflix Instant?

It seems like more and more, I'm watching movies at home on my television via my Roku player and Netflix subscription.  (By the way, I am not paid to promote these products.  I actually use them).  Lately, Netflix has been expanding a lot of its content, especially television.  I've seen some great movies lately.  Here is a quick and dirty list of flicks you may want to check out.

  • Marley (2012)--An excellent documentary on the late, great Bob Marley, chronicling his early life and career through to his untimely death from cancer at 36.
  • Take This Waltz (2011)--An indie directed by Sarah Polley and starring Michelle Williams as married woman tempted by the fruits of another.  Also stars Seth Rogen.
  • The King's Speech (2010)--I never made it to the theater to see this Oscar-winning film starring Colin Firth as King George VI who engages a speech therapist played by Geoffrey Rush to overcome a painful stutter.
  • Trishna (2011)--A retelling of Thomas Hardy's Tess of the D'Urbervilles, set in modern India and  starring Frida Pinto as the titular Trishna.
Enjoy!
