Obligatory Oscar Nominations Post

Here's the link to the list of the official 2011 Oscar nominees.  Were you surprised by any nominations?  Disappointed?  I was really disappointed that Waiting for Superman did not make it into the Best Documentary category. Also, even though I don't think he would have won, I  wish Ryan Gosling had been nominated in the Best Actor category for Blue Valentine.  Michelle Williams got a nod for Best Actress for the same film, but I think she benefited from a smaller pool of potential nominees.  Otherwise, nothing was that surprising to me.  I think last year was a much more exciting award season with the little film The Hurt Locker going against a behemoth like Avatar.  This movie award season is sort of bland.
