Sparkle @ Hammonds House Museum

Tomorrow night (8/10/12) at 8p, the Hammonds House Museum will host an outdoor screening of the 1976 movie Sparkle featuring a young Irene Cara and a delightful soundtrack by Curtis Mayfield.  Just in time to get you primed for the Jordin Sparks/Whitney Houston remake coming out soon.  Can you believe the original film was co-written by Joel Schumacher, the same man who directed the '80's cult favorite The Lost Boys?  Just a bit of trivia.  The screening is free for museum members, $5 for the general public, and $10 for a family of four.  See event details here.
